Standard Stock ListsValuStox allows you to access several standard stock lists, among them the three Dow Jones Averages (Industrials, Transportation, and Utilities), the S&P 500, the S&P MidCap 400, and the S&P SmallCap 600:
This function allows you to create one of several standard stock lists, including your own custom lists. You’ll see the following dialog :
Depending on your what you’re doing, you can either choose to create the list on a new worksheet in the same workbook, or to create a entirely new workbook.

There are several special cases: · Global stock list. This builds a list of the current 8500+ stocks (updated weekly), and this can take a while, particularly if you’re using chart and/or news hyperlinks. You’ll see the following prompt in this case: · Custom stock list. This allows you to build your own stock list, one ticker and/or company at a time. · Dow Jones averages. These are the stocks that make up the closely-watched industrial, transporation, and utilities averages.. These stocks typically do not change very often, but when they do, the change will be reflected in the weekly updates. · S&P averages. The stocks that make up these averages change fairly often, and the changes are reflected in the weekly ValuStox updates. · Buffett-type companies. These are companies that Warren Buffett currently owns, or has owned in the past. They may or may not be good values—you have to look at the numbers, the stock chart, and the “story” to decide. · Hi-Tech Stocks. This is simply a list of leading and closely watched technology companies. · Blank list of 15 stocks. This is alternative way to generate your own stock list. You merely type in the ticker symbols and use the ValuStox fundamental data and price update functions.
